Speaking of colored glitter, I am trying to make a new blue glitter
star using the epoxy/AP based formula that Tony and I were working on
a while back. I have tried using a few different types/sizes of
aluminum and other metals (Atomized 325 mesh, flake coated and
uncoated 325 mesh, maganlium 60 mesh, titanium sponge, magnesium metal
flakes). So far the results with a small amount of titanium sponge or
atomized aluminum look ok, but it tends to overpower the blue, and
cause a whiteout. The more reactive metals were coated to be sure of
no unwanted reactions. I'm going to put in some more work with this
formula over the next few weeks, and try to get it right.
Mike, I'm sorry to hear that your wife hates the hobby, but non-the-
less, most people do not understand it; but at least she enjoyed the
show! cant wait to see the pics.
