Yes but the best bet is to get the right stuff. Tell them they screwed
it up and have them send potassium nitrate.

As was said, sodium nitrate is hygroscopic and isn't as useful for BP.
It can be used as an oxidizer but so can many other chemicals - Just
as if you used those other chemicals, you won't have what you were
'shooting' for if you use sodium nitrate instead of potassium nitrate.
