Something of an aside, if you're into making your own alloys (like
magnalium), there's a nice and brittle Zn-Mg alloy you can mix up. It's
not as flammable as magnalium, so it's easier to make, and it burns hotter
than pure zinc. Lesse, it's MgZn2, which since zinc atoms are about twice
as heavy as magnesium atoms, it's more like 20%wt Mg, so not much.
