Dan,

Dan,

First, Thanks for asking about Hans. Although he had a nasty
infection, his hand is almost completely healed. In about three more
weeks he will be starting physical therapy. He has only the use of his
index finger and thumb and the index finger is not in great shape. His
middle finger is not much more than a stub and will never move. The
tendons of the middle finger were severed in the palm and the finger
itself was crushed. What they did sew back on is primarily there as
additional grip-aid once he recovers use of the hand.

Okay, back to fireworks. Yes, he uses the burlap instead of
traditional spiking. I can't say that it does any better job than
string, but it was fun to watch him make the shells and they fired
well. He's quite a tweaker and has much more time than I to
experiment.

You ribbon shell looks cool. When you fire it, let us know how it
performed.

Regards,

Regina
