I'm guessing it's Tom R. you're referencing and about the desirability
of not hitting anything, I'd heartily concur. The most dangerous (and
seductive) observation one can offer, in almost any cir***stance,
flows more or less thusly: "I was milling/ramming/improvising this so-
and-so mixture and NOTHING happened!"
Make an art of finesse. Make of caution a brother. Spurn the hammer.
Avoid sudden stops.
The force that maims and kills most reliably is the act of being
comfortable when everywhere the clear-eyed see peril.
