true enough, its just interesting if done safely, but since this is a
fireworks group, I will not prolong any such disussions unless someone
is claiming their rockets or shells are detonating with the force of
RDX :P, but thats also different bc they are not being tested
unconfined. The point is taken that whistle and flash needs to be
handled safely no matter if it is detonated by a booster charge or lit
by a fuse. They are both energetic enough to do some major damage, but
if respected and proper precautions are taken they are way safer than
the improvised stuff the people on so called kewl bombs forums are
talking about making like acetone peroxide which would have no use bc
its unstable and cant be stored makes poor salutes bc it lack the boom
and light output of flash. I have never seen ground salutes being used
in displays, only hanging salutes strung together above the ground and
aerial salutes in day shows for festivals in europe ( thats where ive
seen them).
