I agree with you, simple difference in shattering brissant effect is
not good enough, ive tried the steel plate test successfully with mg
and chlorate flash awhile back (although my friend who also majored in
chemistry and minored in physics thinks my plate wasn't thick
enough,im not even gonna do the picric based whistle, i know what that
does. Ive also done the stuff with Bullseye, interesting experiments.
I don't know if I can get whistle to do it, I know black powder won't,
but whistle seems to have certain characteristics im interested in. So
called organic flash is one of my favorite compositions to study.
Never really was into pressing it for whistle though.

I think im going to study whistle burst a bit more, ... before I try
to detonate it with a thick enough plate. what size have you guys
used? On a side note, I work testing pesticides and some scientists on
the other end of the labs have viles of powdered acetone peroxide, the
stuff everyone says is so powerful and the best high explosive ever. I
thought it ignited and burned like fast whistle mix when ignited in
small amounts. All it had to offer was a small audible higher pitched
pop since theres no flash, I was not impressed even if it is a proven
HE. Its sensitive and should not be stored, theres just so much info
on how to make it in bad books and sites. Im sure in large amounts its
pretty powerful, but I find it too dangerous with a bad reputation, or
are there advantages to the stuff?
