ooh thats a nono , i don't agree with them but, loose whistle or flash
must not be more than 2% of the total composition of a 1.75 inch
cylinder or ball reloadable, its different for single tubes I believe
or maybe thats changed too, i read a training manual for the cpsc and
they say if there is a bright flash and an unusually loud break to
dissect the shell, thats why we see so much stuff watered down from
year to year, let me go find the training manual. Their methods for
breaking plastic whistle rockets to weigh comp sounded really
dangerous... let me go find it. Things like H3, KP,meal D and maybe
watered down whistle seem to be ok, but not straight flash or whistle.
they will measure and take the comp to the lab, they also have bad
strategies for trying to separate clay that gets into flash and most
likely a lot of small candle and cracker re****ts that contain that
loose red clay are being weighed heavier than they should. An
unpoluted 130 mg of quality flash with crimped ends instead of clay is
a lot louder than your normal candle re****t, much crisper and
brighter, but nothing like a 1.3g re****t. Oh I found it, take a look
guys, CPSC training!!!!!!!!! http://www.cpsc.gov/businfo/testfireworks.pdf
