Ok to add granular Mag to an aerial shell for sparks?

by plsnospamhere@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Apr 9, 2008 at 01:15 PM

I was wondering if there is any compatibility issues with adding
coarse magnesium 'flakes' to a standard 70/30 flash mix to add sparks
in an aerial salute. I know iron and ti is added but was not sure
about Mg.

If it is fairly safe to do does the Mg need to be coated or can a
pinch just be thrown in the mix? I'm weary of flash as it is and just
want to be safe!

Thanks!
