This is one I've used, it's from Joel Baechle's Pyrocolor Harmony
(recommended reading BTW)

70 Potassium Perchlorate
12 Calcium Carbonate
 6 Red Gum
 6 Shellac
 2 Lampblack
 4 Dextrin

Burns fast and is reasonably easy to light. Mix them with a good blue for
a nice effect.
