Phase and earth are easily confused by some colo(u)rblind people in
the States, given our colo(u)r coding: green is earth, black, blue,
and red are hots. In fact, back when he was a theatre dept. student,
one of the guys who now works for the theatre once ruined a Skirpan
dimmer rig when he confused the black hot leg with the green ground
wire and let out all the magic smoke.

(OTOH we did get a new ETC system out of it, so maybe hono(u)r is
due...)
