   I've seen setups where the ground and nuetral connectors have reverse 
gender.  I used to advocate that, but I don't anymore.  wasted way too 
much time and effort to track down the damn gender-bender cam adapters, 
and then making sure we got them back from the venue at loadout.  now, 
if I'm specifying a power distro, I just make sure that there is a set 
of outs to go with the set of ins on the cam panel.  So if I do run into 
a venue with reversed gender of some sort, I can just turn the 
appropriate feeder cable around and plug it into the 'out' cam connection.

   I've also started labeling cam cables with paint pen not only to 
owner****p, and wire gauge, but what color they are.  belt and 
suspenders.

   the interlocked power hookups that I've run into seem to be broken a 
lot, and in one venue, they just leave a set of posi-lok to cam adapters 
in the panel all the time.
