I'm leery of such things.

sOunds to me like a real bad problem if one of the video
guys was using a local outlet inside the venue instead of
powering all from the video truck, but then ... the ground
problem was potentially a mess whichever way he went.

We've got camlocks, bre tails, and those good marine
connectors that are watertight on the truck end itself.  OUr
end is quite safe, and periodically inspected by a licensed
electrician as well.  I make sure of that.
