Yep, different ground potential.  wHere we have to split
audio between front of house, stage monitors and the audio
truck, that's not a good idea.

NOw one of my plans is genset on a trailer for when the
truck rolls as emergency communications post.
My wife and I are ham radio people, we did Katrina at
charity hospital.
tHe truck will provide for three operating positions when
used as communications post, and then we'll tow our own gen.

OF course on some outdoor dates we'll be using the genset
the promoter provides, but when working at a venue with
mains power it's best to be working from same power sources
as the house.
NOT just for cleaner audio, but for safety issues as well.
