HEy, I know how my distro is set up, but I"m an audio guy.
I'll provide the electrician the info and hardware he/she needs to get me
tied in, then doublecheck voltages, etc. myself at my end
before turning on my juice.
YEt things are safe this way.

since I might have to work with our remote audio truck with
places where they don't have the camlocks, etc. My contract
for services requires an electrician be on site for
connection/disconnection, paid for by the client.
KEeps me safe, keeps the facility safe.

That's it in a nutshell.  IF it isn't required by law imho
it should be.  Even with camlock or other connections making
it easier, the locally licensed electrician can deal with
local code issues, etc.

I'm there to make a recording or feed the audio for
broadcast, I may not know local codes, or things may not be
done the way I expect.  The locally licensed personnel keep
us all out of trouble.
