Have seen such a setup when doing live sound many years ago.
Much preferrable even for the house electrician, which we
used to make sure they had on site when we were ready to tie
in our own distro.
nOT that we were incapable of doing it, we just didn't want
the liability and responsibility.

My rig maximum draw is 50a whichever kind of power, 208 v or
240 is used.  THis includes my climate control and all audio
gear.

And the safest, but I'm hearing rumors these days that some
houses are just saying "wire it yourself" which I"d prefer
not to.

YEp, used to see that sometimes in bars with systems with
their own distro, and never cared for it then.
