Well, not Murphy's law so much as physics.

Tim's missing a major drawback when he suggests putting the 
antennas to vertical: that brings them too close to the rack. 
Tilting them out is designed to get the antennas clear of the 
case, and that matters more than the orientation of the receiving 
antennas as relating to that of the transmitting antennas.  

Remember, the orientation of the transmitting antennas IS NOT 
CONSTANT.
