Kliegl went out of business in the 1980s at some point. I've been
told by an old friend who used to be a Kliegl dealer that the reason
they went out of business is that they invested a lot of money into
computerized control consoles early on, and then they never recouped
that investment, because other companies could just copy aspects of
Kliegl's boards and sell them for cheap.
I think your best bet for finding information on Kliegl lighting and
controls would be to contact any companies in your area who deal with
stage lighting, and ask around: who's the guy (or gal) who's been
around the longest, do they have any Kliegl literature that they
haven't thrown away yet... that kind of thing. _Somebody_ out there
has to have information on this stuff, _somebody_ out there has to
have worked on it in the past and remembers it... but trying to find
them is the difficult part.
I have a call into my old friend to find out if he kept his old Kliegl
literature from when he was a dealer, and I'll let you know what
becomes of that. Until then, good luck!
