To my colleagues on the right side of the pond;
The installation I've referred to in past posts went very well and has
been running in the new Armani A/X store on Regent Street for some
weeks now. Thank you all for you advice as the install went very well
and we were highly complimented.
We've been experiencing some odd behaviour from our monitor array and
I am becoming suspicious of the Old City electrical grid. Can anyone
tell me if there are frequent or regular brownouts, voltage spikes,
etc. that would unnerve sensitive electronics? We well protected our
computers and head-end gear with a robust UPS, but thought the video
monitors would just plug into regular line voltage with no surge
suppressors or other line conditioning equipment. Is providing that
protection recommended or standard practice?
I look forward to your comments as we are proposing that the
electrical contractor provide whole panel surge suppression.
Thanks,
Lloyd
