The major manufacturers (at least) do follow ANSI standards; but all
should
also be able to supply dimensioned lamp drawings that show tolerances. GE
used to have a CD-ROM with such stuff. I couldn't find it on line; but it
might be worth a call or e-mail.
However, the main standard is: ANSI C78.21-1995 (PAR and R Shapes),
revised in 2003, and, lucky you, it's available from NEMA as a free pdf
download at: http://www.nema.org/stds/c78-21.cfm#download
