The one piece of advice I have with respect to your question is a cultural

one moreso than a technological one. Asian languages, particularily those 
used in the work place, are very formalized. Don't get frustrated when it 
takes your translator 30 seconds or so to communicate "try it at 50."  "If

you please, the lighting director requests that channels three through 7
be 
set to a level of fifty percent at your convenience."
