'West Side Story' show drop

by fptpaul@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Nov 12, 2007 at 12:36 AM

Howdy all- I am working on a condo tour of 'West Side' (if 'condo
tour' didn't spell it out for you, I'm in S. Florida, US). The show is
a lot of the music with all the book cut. It's usually in and out-
load in two hours before showtime, out by half hour after curtain- no
set, I pretty much wing it on lights and sound (if the house has
lights and sound...). We have one 'big' gig, 6 performances over 3
days, where the producer likes to take a 'set'. He talked to me about
painting a drop of some sort- he mentioned fire escapes, you've seen
the poster from the movie. I told him to rent a drop, you'll get more
for less money. Now I'm stuck trying to find him a drop- the best I
could come up with was a silhouette skyline, or tenement with skyline.
I've checked all the people I've rented from before- Grosh, Tobins
Lake, Kenmark, FCLO; plus several others I've never dealt with.

Any ideas? Any good sources for drop rentals? Don't make me paint, you
wouldn't like me when I paint...

TIA for any help.

Paul
