This newsgroup (and most others) can be searched via
http://groups.google.com/advanced_search
They have many years of archives available online.
It is always good practice to search the Google newsgroup archives
before asking a question because, as you say, it may have been
asked and answered already. But if you don't find your answer, or
you don't understand the answer, feel free to post your question.
