Orange Tent is casting Choke Point, a modern drama based on the events
surrounding the downfall of New York Times journalist Jayson Blair.
Colm Byrne, writer/dir. Rehearsals start June 26th. Performances run
Aug. 13-20 at the 2007 Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Seeking-Jayson: African-American, late 20s-30s, charismatic, intense,
LEAD; Walter: African-American, 60s, has "an undertow of a damaged
past"; Lee: African-American, 18-24, Jamaican sniper who converted to
Islam; Mullman: Caucasian, 50-60s, relentless, stony editor; Julie:
Caucasian, late 20s-30s, very strong, dedicated; Lilly: Latina or
Caucasian, 18-24, country girl.
