You can get a Public Domain video of Mary's TV special of Dolly on a
world tour: as I recall from its original broadcast the do***entary was
very interesting at numerous levels, whether or not that production of
Dolly was any good.

Tour included Vietnam: I read at the time that when she arrived the
soldiers riding with her sang "Foxhole Mary is the girl I love..." Hard
to imagine a bunch of nineteen-year-olds in the mid-late 1960s breaking
into show tunes spontaneously, so I attribute it to an arranged PR
stunt, or an official order from some nostalgic admirer above. One of
the actors, I think Cornelius, actually received his draft notice while
he was there. Talk about twice blessed.
