Re: I'm listening to...

"A Deeper Shade of Red," the solo album by Andrea Burns, who is
currently on Broadway as Daniela in In The Heights.

Burns first attracted my notice on the cast album of Songs for a New
World.  But I didn't really appreciate this album until after I saw
her live.  She gives a great performance in ITH, combining great comic
timing with a belt that must be the envy of the other women in the
cast.  Her album isn't quite as dynamite, but it's a lovely little
album.  And there's an original song by the composer/lyricist of In
The Heights that's quite good.
