The cast recording of the 2008 South Pacific includes "My Girl Back
Home". The arrangement in the current production took what always
seemed to me to be an also-ran song and elevated it to the level of
its peers. What a nice surprise.
Another song cut in 1949 was as Emile's song "Now Is The Time". Has
this song made into any productions of South Pacific? (It does appear
without words as the rousing underscore to the troop mobilization near
the show's end).
