Hmm. Obviously you're a lyrics person. I'm a music person. (Also a cat
person. Are you a dog person?)
I can check with a friend who is (or was) a friend of Mr. Rice. Or I can
try
checking those lyrics myself. I must have the sheet music somewhere . . .
.

"Any Dream Will Do" is definitely a catchy (if rather obnoxiously
catchy) tune - but can anyone tell me what the lyrics *really* mean? I
don't mean some general theme - but phrase by phrase, what exactly is
Rice getting at, and what does it have to do with the rest of the
show? (And/or what was he smoking when he wrote it? lol)
It's the one song in the show (aside from "One More Angel") that I've
never really liked, because the lyrics are just so convoluted...:-)
