Plain and Fancy (Re: TV tie-in to musicals: It's a Bird...)

At the end of a What's My Line? episode Bennett Cerf mentions that the
show Plain and Fancy, co-produced by fellow panelist Dorothy Kilgallen's
husband Richard Kollmar, is getting ready to open out of town.

Show ran over a year so it probably turned a profit; closed and cleared
out of the Mark Hellinger twelve days before My Fair Lady opened (MFL,
for comparison, paid back its original investment in six months, at
$5.50 top price per ticket).

Kollmar, according to one website, was "alcoholic and abusive," but as a
husband, not necessarily as a producer.
