As a matter of fact, it was at the Publick (not Public) Theatre - and
thank you. :-)
(I would somewhat agree with your *****sment of the Guys And Dolls
production - which was actually the following summer. Especially in
terms of the very weak romantic leads. I do think the Into The Woods
was a few marks above horrendous, lol, but you're entitled to your
opinion!)
"Of Thee I Sing" seems a natural choice for G&S groups, IMO, given
that a lot of the score seems influenced by the G&S style.
