Was this at Boston's Public Theater?  I saw that production and liked
it quite a bit.  (If I recall correctly, the other two productions
that summer were a mediocre Guys and Dolls and a horrendous Into the
Woods.)

When I was in college, the Gilbert & Sullivan group chose to do Of
Thee I Sing one semester as a break from their usual G&S fare.  (It
was the only non-G&S show they did in the four years I was there...
and I don't think they've done another one since.)  This was within a
couple of years of the Public Theater show.
