Anyone catch the 101 Best Moments of SNL that's been on cable/satellite
lately. It's got the Chevy Chase/Richard Pryor sketch with Chase saying
words and Pryor responding with the first word he thinks of...Chase
uses words that get increasingly derogatory. The end of the sketch
goes something like...

C: spade
P: honkey
C: (n word)
P" *DEAD* honkey!

A mere 30 years ago and this was in a nationally broadcast comedy
routine. It appears we're regressing to the 1800s...
