I'm afraid the progressive-liberal knife cuts both ways: I want the
theatre to have rights but I have to let the rest of society have the
right to be left alone if it so wishes.

Not to the point of whether people outside deserve to be exposed to this
who did not consent to overhear it. For comparison, let's say a
consenting adult audience were watching (artistically justified)
full-frontal ****ity in a park, and the image were visible to other
people walking the perimeter of the park area.
