snubbed in both categories, but that was not unexpected.

SN: I though he had a chance of a book nom, possibly before the other
Meehan show CRY-BABY.

Why? He simply typed in Wilder's screenplay into a word processor,
trimmed it and added some songs.

SN: The adapted CRY-BABY book was not critically acclaimed, either-- so
I thought he might get a token nom (like Stro as choreographer)-- as he
did in previous awards this season.
