In my alter ego as an engineer I didn't get paid for job
interviews but I did sometimes not lose much out of my own
pocket. Once upon a time Arco wanted to interview me for a job at
Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, and paid first class airfair from Alaska to
and from Anchorage, along with hotel room and meals. If Horizon
Air in WA****ngton state and Wien Air from Anchorage to Dead Horse
had had first class they would have paid that, too.

I did have to take a few personal days from my job to do it,
though, but I got paid for those.
