View from front row - Imperial Theatre NY

by John Campbell <campbellj@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Mar 23, 2008 at 03:00 PM

I'm new here, and I hope this is the proper group for my question.

A friend likes to watch musicals close to the stage, but far enough
back so that everything is visible. He won't sit in the first few
rows of the Victoria Palace in London because the stage is high enough
that he can't see the dancers' foot work in the musical "Billy
Elliot."

Now that this musical is coming to the Imperial Theatre in NYC my
friend (who is a "Billy Elliot" fan) wonders if the dancers feet on
stage will be visible from the first Orchestra row - AA. If not,
about how many rows back would one have to sit in that theatre to be
certain of seeing everything on stage?
