Hourglass Group announces its Fall 2007 Writing Workshop:
Playwriting Intensive: Writing the Real
A double-weekend intensive devoted to making theater from facts.
Discover techniques for using political/historical and
autobiographical source material, allowing you to approach fresh
subjects with a truthful eye. Build research skills, sharpen authentic
dialogue, and refine your ability to shape a dramatic event. Class
feedback and individual instructor attention support artists at all
levels.
Instructor Karen Hartman's plays include "Goliath," "Gum,"
"Motherbone" and "Girl Under Grain." An alumna of New Dramatists, Yale
University, and the Yale School of Drama, Karen has taught playwriting
at the Yale School of Drama and many other graduate, undergraduate,
and independent venues.
October 27/28 & November 3/4, 2007. Saturday & Sunday, 12-4 pm.
