state of the art

by "Richard Johnson" <richard@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jan 21, 2008 at 05:16 PM

dear all,

i am a UK journalist researching and writing a large article on the state
of
puppetry right now. my interest in the subject comes off the back of a
play
called War Horse, which is showing at the National Theatre in London. it
features a horse, made from wood, that is operated by four men. it is
staggering. i loved the muppets, and my daughter and i was bunnytown on
disney. but beyond that, i don't know a great deal. could someone please
point me in the right direction. are we living through a golden era, or
what? who should i interview? where is the most exciting work going on
right
now, and what is it?

best wishes,

--
