puppet plays

by nan <NanWhetstone@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 18, 2007 at 01:33 PM

I wrote a lot of puppet plays when I worked in a Children's Library.
The library is quite large and we did as many as 12 plays a week
throughout the year. These plays were very popular and drew a big
crowd. We had requests for some to be performed for outreach at day
care and preschools. There is a real shortage of good puppet play
collections for the secular audience. Everyone tells me I should get
them published, but I can't find a market for them. Most places that
will publish puppet plays (sorry about the alliteration) are religious
markets, which I fear wouldn't be interested in my plays. Can anyone
give me some advice? Should I self-publish? I've heard that's the
best way to go for a niche this narrow. Thanks for any pointers
anyone can offer.
