Puppetry/music relation****ps

by leahscholes@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Feb 26, 2007 at 03:49 AM

I am doing some research into the relation****p between and use of
music in puppetry, and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of
specific traditions to look into. I am aware of the strong Javanese
Shadow puppetry/gamelan association, as well as Bunraku, but at the
moment am more interested in older Russian and Eastern European
styles. Unfortunately I'm finding it hard to locate much information
in this area, as the traditions between music and puppetry don't seem
to be as direct as in Asia. Any help or suggestions would be greatly
appreciated!
