that energizes the entire Front Range.
The Boulder International Fringe Festival is an annual 12-day festival
of live performances including theatre, music, film, storytelling,
digital media, spoken word, dance, circus arts and visual arts. This
year's festival will take place from Thursday, 17th August through
Monday, 28th August, throughout downtown Boulder at various indoor
venues and outdoor stages. Theater and Dance Performances will run with
6 performances each. Music and Film will have 1-2 weekend showings on
festival stages and the Visual Fringe will have a central gallery where
a plethora of activity will take place.
The 2006 Boulder International Fringe Festival will host 70 artists,
local, National and international, presenting over 350 shows in twelve
days at 15 venues - all within Boulder's cultural corridor in the heart
of downtown. The Boulder International Fringe Festival is in service to
the community, building bridges between audiences, artists, businesses
and civic organizations in conjunction with the worldwide Fringe
Festival =AC network.
For over 50 years International Fringe Festivals have been generating
an atmosphere of lively excitement and energy around the world that
fully engages the community. Fringe organizations have spread like wild
fire throughout the globe since their inception in Edinburgh, Scotland
in 1947. The Fringe encourages audiences and artists alike to approach
the arts with a feeling of spontaneity and willingness to take risks,
