Lighted, moving moon

by "Pradeep Gupta" <pradeepgupta@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Aug 16, 2007 at 03:51 PM

For an upcoming show, I need to provide a 2.5 ft dia moon lit within itself

and supported by baton. The moon will be in front of cyc and so a square
moon box is not acceptable. I wanted to avoid 80-90 ft of electric wire
for
the light by installing a battery powerd light, but there is a problem.
The
moon has to be on for more than two hours, so we may not have enough
battery
power. I would appreciate any suggestion on;
1. material for the front surface.
2. placement of lights
3. construction design
4. any new approach to the problem. The director does not like Gobo
approach.
