I'm feeling generous today so I'll tell you a little bit about
my life.
I work in an office in a nine story building.   My place of
business takes up four floors of the building, smaller
companies have offices there and the eighth floor is empty.

Monday morning when I arrived at work the office was hot.
Our receptionist, Stacy, told me the air conditioner for the
whole building, which sits on the roof, had some kind of
mechanical failure and they were trying to fix it.

This building was put up in the late 1970's and has big square
windows that don't open.    Outside at 8 am it was already a
steamy day, 85 degrees Fahrenheit and expected high was 93.

The offices located on the outer perimeter, the ones on the east
and south of the building, turned into saunas first and then
the heat just flowed throughout the office.   It was 97 degrees
in the Director's office (this when it was only 92 outside).

Around 11 am,  word came from the building manager that a
transmission piece on the building's air conditioning unit had
busted and it would be at least a week before they got the
replacement part.  The directors got together for an emergency
meeting, with some paperwork from DOER and OSHA about
exactly how hot unbearably hot working conditions have to be
in order to shut down.

Everybody in my office was sweating like pigs and talking
about going somewhere air conditioned for lunch even if they
brought a lunch that day.   But at noon, nobody left for lunch
because we were hoping when the Director came back from
the meeting, she would tell us the office was shuttting down
and just go home.

Besides people getting really hot, so did the computers were
also feeling the heat and they protested by becoming slower
and slower.

Finally around 12:30, the Director came back and announced
we were shutting down for the rest of the day and all day
Tuesday --- and to make this even sweeter -- we were shutting
down WITH PAY and were told to log in our hours as if we
worked full 8 hour days Monday and Tuesday.

So here I am, on my home computer in the late morning,
enjoying my serendipitious time off and hassling delusional
Michael Jackson/pedophile lovers.

That's a little bit of my life and I was happy to share it.  Sadly,
I feel you cannot reciprocate and tell me a little bit about your
life because other than defending a freaky has-been pedophile,
you have no life.
