Those were similar arguments made to Howard Kurtz (on his Sunday CNN 
program) by one of his guests (a Republican strategists).

This guests also said O'Reilly was tough on McCain on sanctuary cities. 
Howard backed off a bit saying that on balance Bill was tougher on Hillary

while conceding that he did ask 'some' tough questions.

I thought both interviews were fascinating and most critics complemented
him 
for doing issue-oriented interviews (unlike the first half of the widely 
criticized "ABC Debate" questions.)
