Hell on Reels [Astoria Moving Picture Festival], named in reference to
the infamous Hell Gate Bridge spanning NYC's East River, is a new
forum for the exhibition of exceptional and unique short format moving
image works, including do***entary, narrative, music video, animation,
design and experimental films.
The intention of the festival is to promote creative dialogue and
collaboration among participants within the local Queens community,
greater NYC metropolitan area and global film society. The first
installment of the festival will feature short films from around the
globe, from Jackson Heights, Queens to Malmo, Sweden.
